Skated my former "home" skate park. It's been almost a year since I skated there and I was impressed by how many young skaters were at the park. There must of been around 20 skaters today and most of them were probably in their low teens and younger. There were quite a few Moms with their little skater dudes. Pretty neat.
It was quite a contrast from the Berkeley skate park crowd. The Menlo Park skate park is part of a multimillion dollar renovation of a City park where as the Berkeley skate park is nearer a run-down industrial district of Berkeley. It's quite interesting on where a skate park is built will often dramatically influence the skate culture. Ideally you get a mix of all types.
