Final public meetings for the Mud Island River park land use sutdy- come!

The final Mud Island meeting is upon us and this will be the grand finale for the public master planning process that started last March.

For those who were not able to attend the first two rounds of meetings, please try to attend one of these final meetings. We need you there. We especially need families and their children to attend since we only had a few in the past few meetings. The new River park plans are about kids too!

The final three master plans will be shown and we will have our chance to speak up and let the planners know what we think about the plans. Expect to see some exciting presentations with skate and family friendly space as key themes in these plans.

See you all there!

Meeting Details:

1. September 29 meeting: Memphis Botanic Garden (750 Cherry Road), 5:45 pm
2. October 1 meeting: Mud Island River park ( Inside the Mud Island River Park) Harbor Landing, 5:45 pm

If, after that meeting, your readers are wondering what happened, maybe this will help explain.

By the way, I'm not a skater but I think the skatepark is a great idea. It needs to be world class.
